PTA REFLECTIONS PROGRAM 2011-2012 "Diversity Means..."
The theme for this year is "Diversity Means..." Students can submit works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, and collage). The best submissions in each category are sent to the District Level for judging. Entries are due November 21, 2011.

JOG-A-THON is one of two major fundraisers for Decatur Classical School. This year, we raised nearly $31,000 just through this one day of fundraising, Thank you to the entire Decatur community for your support and enthusiasm!

T.H.A.N.K.S. - To Honor And Notice Kindness and Service. This award began in 2009 by the Parent Teacher Association. It is given out monthly to individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty with their exemplary volunteerism. Do you know someone who deserves a “T.H.A.N.K.S.”? If the answer is yes and you'd like to nominate a parent, teacher or staff member for the T.H.A.N.K.S award, please attend one of our upcoming meetings to do so. The PTA board will select the award recipient(s) from the pool of nominees. The award recipient(s) will be announced at the following meeting. In addition, they are featured in the Decatur Communique each month. 
With the success of past fundraisers (Jog-A-Thon and the Spring Fundraiser), the PTA has been able to fund some outstanding projects for the school and our children. We'd like to thank the Decatur community for their support. Together, we made a difference!
