Library Book Return Reminder!!

All books are DUE by this Friday! If your child has not brought back their library book, please make sure they bring it by then!

RM 100 is excited for our countdown to summer which begins tomorrow!

We had so much fun at our field trip to Lincoln Park Zoo! We met Susan a zoologist at the zoo who helped us do an animal observation activity. Thank you to all the chaperones that were able to come with!

The class has had a lot of fun with nonstandard measuring this week!

RM 100 enjoyed having the Author of Disaster Squad, Rekha S. Rajan come to visit the school! She talked to us about her writing process as well as her inspiration for the characters and plot of the stories. They have loved listening to the book as a class and reading the books in our library!

RM 100 enjoyed seeing our 8th Grade Buddies before spring break! We planted seeds together that will go into the school garden as well as made a flower craft that will be displayed in school!

This has been our focus for our social-emotional learning the past few weeks!

RM 100 has loved learning about the greater than and less than symbols! They enjoyed having some math craft time to use the symbols to compare numbers!

Spelling Review - 2/26

RM 100 did a great job with their spelling review this week! We have reviewed our spelling words for next week that have the -ed ending. Although these words have the -ed ending, we might hear the /d/, /t/ or /ed/ sounds. RM 100 learned a song this week to remind us, you can ask them if they remember the song!

Throughout the unit, students will receive optional School to Home Connection activities to support their learning. These activities are not required, but we encourage families to complete them together. These activities can support important conversations between students and their parents or guardians.

If you wish to have your child excused from participation, please inform me in writing or via email by Monday, March 9th, 2026
