🦆🎶 Starting Spanish Class with “El Baile del Pato”!
🌎📚 When Does School Start Around the World?
Our second graders explored the different months when students begin school in countries around the world—all while practicing Spanish!
Edward became our student teacher and led the lesson by identifying each country and explaining when its school year begins. We were all impressed by his wonderful geography knowledge and confident presentation skills!
📘 Our kindergarten students received their Spanish notebooks! They are excited to fill them with new words, colorful activities, and all the wonderful Spanish work they will complete this year.
Look at one of our proud kindergarten students showing off his brand-new notebook! Let the Spanish-learning adventure begin!
Dear Parents,
This week in class, our students learned the letter A and some vocabulary words that start with the letter A, such as: avión, abeja, árbol, agua, araña, and more!
Please enjoy the photo showing their adorable Abeja books that they made with lots of enthusiasm.

📢 Spanish Class Update!
Hello Families!
Over the past few weeks, our students from 2nd through 8th grade have been busy exploring and celebrating Hispanic culture in many exciting ways.
🔍 Our 6th to 8th graders had the opportunity to research important Hispanic figures who have made a significant impact on the world. This project helped them practice Spanish while learning about inspiring leaders, artists, activists, and scientists from the Hispanic community.
🎉 We will continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, highlighting traditions, music, and customs from Spanish-speaking countries.
🎨 Our wonderful 2nd graders created beautiful artwork by coloring papel picado and flags of Hispanic countries to decorate the bulletin board. Their colorful work brings so much life and joy to our classroom!
Please enjoy their artwork in the image below!
Thank you for your ongoing support as we celebrate the richness of Hispanic culture together.
What an amazing start to the school year!
We are only in our third week of Spanish class, and students are already showing so much enthusiasm and growth! 🎉
This week, Grades 3–5 worked hard on their “Yo Soy” projects, where they used Spanish adjectives to describe themselves — and they did such a fantastic job! 🌟 I’m so proud of how confident and creative they are becoming in expressing who they are in Spanish. ¡Excelente trabajo!
In this photo, you’ll see some of our students playing “Mata Moscas” (Fly Swatter Game) — I say a word, and they race to swat the correct one on the board. It’s fast-paced, fun, and helps reinforce vocabulary in a super engaging way. The students were SO into it — cheering each other on and learning at the same time! 👏
Let's keep up the amazing work, STUDENTS — ¡vamos por un año lleno de aprendizaje y diversión!
This Week in Spanish – ¡Las Mascotas!
This week, students are learning about las mascotas (pets)! They’ve been practicing the names of common animals you can have at home, all in Spanish.
Keep the learning going by asking them to tell you the names of different animals in Spanish—it’s a fun way to reinforce vocabulary at home!
Thank you for all you do to support your child’s learning! 🐶🐱🐰🐢
¡Hola familias!
We had a very exciting and productive week in Spanish class!
Our 1st graders celebrated Cinco de Mayo by learning about the history and cultural significance of the holiday. They also had a wonderful time coloring festive piñata crafts to bring the celebration to life. In addition, they created thoughtful cards to honor and celebrate El Día de las Madres—a beautiful opportunity to express love and appreciation.
Our 2nd graders proudly performed their mini-sketches featuring their iguanas, showcasing their creativity and growing confidence in using Spanish vocabulary and sentence structure.
Meanwhile, our kindergarteners took a big step forward as they began writing in Spanish about the weather. It’s been incredible to see their enthusiasm and early writing skills develop in a new language!
Please take a moment to enjoy the photos that highlight each of these wonderful projects.
Let’s continue supporting our young language learners—keep asking your children about the new Spanish words, phrases, and cultural traditions they are discovering. Their excitement and curiosity are truly inspiring.
Gracias for being such an important part of their learning journey. ¡Hasta pronto!
¡Hoy fue un día divertido en la clase de español! 🇵🇪
Today, our amazing 3rd graders acted out their mini sketches using the vocabulary they’ve been learning — words like peruano, ceviche, doctor, ¿cómo te llamas?, maestra, niño, niña, restaurante, ¿dónde vives?, soy de, and more!
We transformed our Spanish classroom into a lively Restaurante Peruano, and the students brought their scenes to life with creativity and enthusiasm.
Here’s a picture of their wonderful restaurant scene — full of language, laughter, and learning!
So proud of their effort and teamwork. ¡Buen trabajo, chicos! Keep up the great work — you’re becoming confident Spanish speakers! 🎉
Dear Parents,
Today in class, we focused on the letter "I." Although Maestra Viquez was not in class today😉, we were fortunate to have Maestra Iguana, who took over and taught the children a wonderful lesson filled with vocabulary words that start with the letter "I." Some of the words we learned today include Isla (Island), Iguana, Impresora (Printer), Incendio (Fire), Imán (Magnet), and Iglú (Igloo).
The children had a great time coloring their iguanas and practicing the vocabulary, reinforcing their understanding of the letter "I" in both a fun and educational way.
We are so proud of the progress they are making!
Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Parents,
Today, our second graders had a blast playing Pictionary in class! 🎨✏️ Each team had so much fun drawing different body parts, all while practicing their Spanish vocabulary in a fun and interactive way. This activity was not only a great way to reinforce their language skills but also helped them prepare for the upcoming assessment next week.
The students had a fantastic time guessing the drawings, and it was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn in a playful and engaging environment.
