• 00:27 Sixth Grade Tap Class Featured

  The sixth graders have been working hard to refresh their tap dance skills this school year! It's been a lot of fun reviewing the tap vocabulary that students learned years ago and use it in a new way. We have also looked at tap dance history in the U.S. and how it evolved over time. Some tap dancers we connected with are The Nicolas Brothers, Savion Glover, and Syncopated Ladies.

• 4:09 Spaghetti Tower STEM Challenge

  To ease back as we begin 2022, each class worked as small teams to practice their creative engineering and design skills by trying to be the team to create the tallest spaghetti tower. A 6th grade team from Room 103 created the tallest at just over 30". This activity is a perfect way to reestablish classroom collaboration and strengthen our community after the long winter break!

  Each student was given a dot on their forehead of different colors and had to work together with their classmates in order to find out what color they had and get themselves organized into different color groups.
