Students have been learning about Autonomous Cars and Deep Sea Exploration and created these models.

Students have been learning about the human immune system and how it functions to help us fight off pathogens. Mucus is an important part of that system so students created a model of mucus and analyzed how accurate a model it was.

Kinetic and Potential Energy Lab Video-4th

Students used pipe insulation to create rollercoasters to help them better understand kinetic and potential energy.

Creating a Simple Electrical System that fails

Students were working with solar panels, wires, a generator and fan and needed to make a failing system to better understand how a system functions as a network on individual parts.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for your support during my paternity leave! I am back and wanted to share with you some exciting news. Recently students from Decatur participated in the Regional Science Fair and 2 of the projects were the highest scoring 6th grade projects in the fair. Congrats to Alexis Keener and Will McCaffrey and Aditya Nanda! Also a big shout out to Lily Meegoda and Jay Huang whose projects got excellence ratings! Great job to you all!
