5th grade students write paragraphs about their summer adventures.
Students were challenged to expand on their writing abilities with 8-10 sentences including at least 6 words per sentence.

We had a surprise reader this week. Our reader presented all about Pohela Boishakh, also known as the Bengali New Year. We learned how to create traditional decorations, and listened to our reader speak in Bengali! We had a great time learning all about Pohela Boishakh!

This week students worked on setting. We ended our week doing rip art setting, creating a scene from Country Mouse and City Mouse.
