Week 20: Jan. 31--Feb. 4, 2022

This week's slideshow highlights lots of cooperative learning in Science Class: 8th graders examining fossil evidence of whales and dinosaur footprints as part of their unit exploring "Evolution"; 7th graders presenting to their classmates their "Critter Pups", which they created as a way of modeling the passing of traits from parents to offspring through heredity as part of their unit exploring "Reproduction", 7th graders also conducted an investigation exploring the mutual interactions of plant and animal pollinators; 6th graders investigating a "mystery mineral" where they conducted numerous experiments to determine whether the mineral was calcite or quartz, and they also analyzed and interpreted data on global resource consumption and per capita consumption of copper, fresh water, and petroleum as part of their unit exploring "Earth's Resources", and one photo of students looking out the window during the snowstorm this past week that I titled, "Snowday???" :)
