"The Most Dangerous Game" Mock Trial

3rd Grade Indoor Fitness Day
When the weather doesn't always agree with us, sometimes we have to get creative with our workouts. The 3rd Grade class had to partner up, and pick 2 cards from the Fit Deck buckets and complete this exercises. After completing the exercise they had to run 10 down and backs.

Line Rider Project
Students practiced being storytellers, composers, sound engineers, and animators using Soundtrap and an online game called "linerider." They learned to work through frustrations as matching music to linerider is a difficult task - just learning the physics of the game can be a challenge. Here is one project that features a really great connection between the visual and musical elements of this project. Bella, a Decatur 5th grade student created this music and linerider animation for her story. Can you hear how it connects?

Talk-A-Mile-A-Minute
Check out this video of our amazing 6th graders participating in a fun interactive learning game called "Talk-A-Mile-A-Minute", which reinforces academic vocabulary development in Science class in order to lay a solid foundation for much higher text complexity and scientific writing later in high school and college. 5B (110) coding with "Dance Moves"in Swift Playgrounds
5th graders are ending their coding unit and began exploring other challenges available in Swift Playground. Using the program "Dance Moves" (shown in the background) students coded the iPad to say "I be flossing". Of course, we needed to show off our own dance moves afterwards. Enjoy!
