How LUCKY are we that we get to have Mr. Echevarria at our school next fall? The video interview conducted are all questions from our Decatur students. Thanks for submitting your awesome questions to allow us to get to know Mr. Echevarria! I can't wait to see what you create together next year!

hello Decatur student we are here as I promised that I can introduce a really special person not only to me but also someone who will be really special to you coming up and I don't know why he introduced himself just a little bit so that you can get to know him and I know that I've kind of kept him a secret so now it'll be a secret no longer so I will pass it over to your new dance teacher hello everyone super excited to finally get to meet you in this before I can meet in person my name is Mister at your Berea if you want to add a little flavor you can call me mystery that's, a little difficult for you I got a lot of questions and I'm super excited to answer them if you ever have more when we meet don't feel like your scared is come right out and let me know so we can go ahead and get started with the questions I guess she has my name and if you want we can do it like interview style so I'll ask you two questions from the kids and then you can answer them alright so the second question at thanks for telling us how to how to pronounce your name how did you get into dance I got into dance when I was young I as a kid I just like looking at Michael Jackson music videos and dancing on and then high school. I'm going to really go for the dance and Learn by classical style which is jazz ballet and modern and I really liked it from there and I said this is what I want to do for my life I really enjoy moving dancing making people join meeting dancing as well and so I proceeded so how long would you say you've been dancing I've been dancing probably since I was like five or six very cool okay so how long have you been teaching them I've been teaching for 4 years or years now yes I started teaching in college and then I just have what's your ethnicity I'm I'm Puerto Rican I was born and raised here in the US but my family is from Puerto Rico and they came here and then I was born here so Hispanics out there if you need to show you a couple things you can ask me a whole bunch of questions relating to Michael Berry quotes to do you speak fluent Spanish I'm semifluid have a blend of bow does any flooring what kind of music do you like to dance to I love dancing to a lot of music typically it's either sassa or pop pop music so I'll be jamming out to Justin Bieber or to Ariana Grande who are your favorite dancers there's a lot my favorite dancer is in we have been a lot of my hip hop dancers and that is Brian puspos and you better Rina Ian Eastwood that's also very famous one and then Isadora Duncan and I Gene Kelly another one and then there's one more but I can't think of the name what is something you're passionate speech the Decatur students about I am very passionate about teaching them as much as I can about every single dance and also bringing in the Latin Side Bar I do it so I am screw passion about dance hip hop I'm so happy that you know those things because as the Decatur students know that's none of those things are my specialty so it's so go back they have this time to learn something completely different that I just wouldn't be able to do some beautiful and I know that that's what you're passionate about but what type of dances do you know I know Jazz ballet modern hip-hop and that falls under a whole bunches categories of its isolationist to tithing to break dancing I know Latin Ballroom style a little bit and then b-boying yeah yeah that's that's all I can think of good morning there but what about that what do you love about working with kids I love to see the the girls in progression I love to see when students come in orchids come in but I can't do that and then like two months later they like and they show me all their hard work development and that's something that they're stealing from me yeah I agree with you as a teacher that's pretty awesome that's like the moment that you that you want to happen all the time what would you say your favorite genre of dances my favorite genre is between modern and those are my two very favorite genres and occasionally I actually will blend them together just oh that's cool I can't wait to see what that was like yes the kids and I talked about the professional companies that I'm also involved in what kind of professional companies in Chicago are you in Boston shukrani right now when is called this way no it's a Latin afro jazz company and the other one is flossing Dance Theater which is more a ballet modern went and so there are awesome I perform all around the city with both of them and I can before the pandemic if we're supposed to have two shows she showcases shows in April but going to be scheduled to continue next year will you invited to get her students to yourself absolutely you're more than welcome to come I would love for everyone to see and forget about as much chance as possible so please but I think that the kids want to know these things are you ready what is your favorite type of food I look good in general but I got to make mom's cooking is the best so I would have to say homemade lasagna meatloaf and pizza I love pizza yes I have a lot of hobbies I sometimes do some poetry I like journaling and writing I like crafting stuff so for all my game is out there or you know who enjoy all that I enjoy making cosplay armor so I'll go ahead and get cardstock and I'll send it and then hardened it is actually wearable armor that something really fun is real or not real a lot of kids who love origami so that's how I would love to learn new things I can make I can make a rose but it's been a little bit that's in the hardest thing I can do so far I do I do crossword puzzles game that's something I love doing and also tic-tac-toe just a whole bunch of thoughts involving do you ever just like rest now sometimes I get kind of lazy so I have to okay cool what's your favorite color my favorite color is blue how to spell specific type of blue eye with a sky blue color weave great taste this is why this works out right okay now one last question from the Decatur sings all of these have been Decatur suit questions so first of all I want to say a question like you had everything that we need him to answer so good work with this last question is kind of serious if you need to take a moment that fact that he breath you know go ahead and do that you ready can you do the Hokey Pokey yes yes and I can turn myself around I think you can be the teacher educator yeah that was pretty brutal Decatur kids that there were like over 70 questions there were a lot I tried to condense them and you will have time to ask him any questions that you want a future teacher you can send emails and I know that you guys go ahead and do a lot of private comments if it's Google classroom or in person you ask a lot of questions too so feel free to ask him anything that you want if you need something over the summer you can still email me and I can forward onto if you need anything I'm super excited I can't wait to meet all of you yes bring the questions and I'm more than happy to answer them and I can't wait for all of you dancing with one another so I will see you at hopefully very soon and please take care yourself and enjoy your
