Kelly Loris's biography
Kelly Loris has lived in Rogers Park for almost 20 years. She got her BA in Classics and Anthropology at the University of Arkansas, her MA in Classical Archaeology from Florida State, and her teaching certification through National Louis University. She’s been teaching Latin for 21+ years. Kelly spent a summer in Jordan excavating Roman era tombs, one in Tunisia excavating a Roman basilica, and one in Italy surveying the Southern tip for archaeological sites. When not teaching, Kelly enjoys theater and music, exploring Chicago like a vacationer, and long sits at the beach. She’s excited to share Latin with the Decatur students through stories, games, art, culture, and connections. Lingua Latina vivit!
